A TOP MIX
at Dowty's Social Club Cheltenham

On Saturday 21st November 1998 I went to Dowty's Social Club Cheltenham as a guest of the leader of TOP MIX who are a local covers band. The band are a three piece outfit who perform covers of songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. On this night they performed a good selection of songs which included RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGH, TWIST & SHOUT, DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY and HI HO SILVER LINING.

When they performed HI HO SILVER LINING they put different lyrics to the chorus so it was HI HO BIRMINGHAM CITY.

Me with Rob of TOPMIX Dancing to the sound of TOPMIX
Rob and Guitarist in full flight Rob in full voice

I thought they performed the songs really well but felt they needed a lead guitarist on some tracks especially HI HO SILVER LINING.
